Event guide
Why this event is on the calendar
This archived directory record exists to preserve an important correction: TED says TEDAI did not return to San Francisco in 2026, and its Bay Area chapter is closed. The listed event was TEDAI Vienna, October 28–30 at the Hofburg Palace in Austria, so it is intentionally not surfaced as an upcoming United States event. It should not be read as evidence that a future TEDAI San Francisco edition has been announced.
For the Vienna edition, TED's organizer material described a curated experience around TED Talks, speaker meet-ups, live demos, panels, workshops, hosted dinners, off-site AI-themed excursions, connection breaks and opening/closing celebrations. The official conference page described 20+ talks and a community of 1,100+ guests from 65 countries. Those details explain the series' format, but any future TEDAI location, dates or attendee program must be confirmed with TED directly.
Who gets value from it
AI researchers, builders, policy and business leaders, creative practitioners, critics and curious generalists looking for cross-disciplinary discussion rather than a product-specific developer conference.
How the day tends to work
The published Vienna program combined a formal talk program with deliberately small-group moments: speaker conversations over coffee or lunch, curated dinners, workshops, AI-themed outings and social events. It is a curated ideas conference, not a US trade-show listing.
