Why this event is on the calendar
Pittsburgh Robotics & AI Discovery Day is a free public showcase organized by the Pittsburgh Robotics Network. The 2026 edition is confirmed for September 16 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, with the organizer targeting live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and a cross-section of regional robotics and AI organizations.
The organizer says 2026 may draw up to 10,000 attendees and more than 250 exhibitors, across robotics, advanced manufacturing, careers, community, and AI & technology zones. It is unusual among the directory's events because it deliberately mixes buyers, job seekers, students, families, researchers, and companies in the same public-facing day.
Who gets value from it
Operators and buyers, job seekers, founders, researchers, students, families, and anyone who wants to see deployable physical AI rather than only hear talks about it.
How the day tends to work
This is a hands-on show: live demos, interactive exhibits, main-stage discussions, career exploration, and exhibitor conversations. The official exhibitor guide lists show hours of 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; robot and vehicle demonstrations carry venue safety requirements.
