Event guide
Why this event is on the calendar
Revolute is a deliberately small, physical-AI build weekend in Cambridge. The organizer gives each team access to a robot arm, a leader arm, cameras and edge compute, then asks builders to work on a cooking-with-robot-arms challenge. It is a real hardware environment rather than a laptop-only coding competition.
The official run of show reserves time for setup, mentor office hours, a build period across two days, science-fair-style demos and awards. Teams submit a GitHub project, documentation and a one-minute video, which makes the result more useful than an idea-only sprint.
Who gets value from it
Robotics builders, embodied-AI engineers, ML practitioners, students and product-minded teams willing to prototype with real robot hardware.
How the day tends to work
A hands-on hardware setup, teams of four to five, mentor support, a long build window, live demos and judging. The organizer says participants should bring at least one person comfortable with hardware, software or robotics.
